Aiden / Helen Vickers (mother of Shadrick )
Aiden is in the hospital.  He is Shad's oldest son.  He is 3 years old.  Tiffany said that when he looks out the window and sees heaven that he wants his Daddy Shad to come and get him out of the hospital.  Please pray for him that his little mind will be comforted to know that his Daddy is with him always.  Please pray for Tiffany that she will be able to care for her children with the comfort of knowing that Shad is with her always also.  Shad come down and be with your baby boy, your little buddy needs you right now.  Love you Momma Close

Shad I miss you so much that sometimes I wish that I could just talk to you sometime.  I worry so about Savanna and the way that she has to live.  Her mother just don't get it.  Please be with her and bless her that she can learn the right way to live.  Please help Savanna know right from wrong.  Also please be with me and Dad that we can make the right decisions about the house.  Please be close to us.  We miss you so much.  You were such a wonderful son and you made us so proud.  Please be with your sister.  Tomorrow is her and Shawn's 6th anniversary.  I love you and will see you when I get there.  Momma Close

Just got back from working on Ganny Cille's House  / Helen Vickers (Mother of Shad )
  Mother, Sis and I went ovet to Granny Cille's house and went through all the stuff up stair  for 2 days. Last night after we finished working for the day,  I went to mother's  took a bath then Dad and I went to watch Savanna in her end of the year play, called, Putting on the Ritz.  You would have been so proud of her, she danced her little heart out.  She did a great job.  I did not get to see the boys this time because we went over to Granny Cille's house around 8-9  this morning and worked until Sis and I had to leave to come back home.  I am so glad to be home.  I love you and saw so many things that you would have interested you .  I wish that you were able to just come and visit for one day and see how your family is growing. I know that you see them everyday and that you know everything that they do and if you were able to come then we would just have to let you go again and I know that you are in such and wonderful place and if you even had a choice to leave that you would just not want to do that.  l will close now and go to bed.  I love you and will see you when I get there Momma Close

Mother's Day  / Helen Vickers (Momma to Shadrick )
As Mother's Day approaches I think of how much that I miss you and all the fun I had raising you from a baby to a grown man.  I think of all the things that you and I went through to get you to where you were when you went to meet your saviour.  I got a Mother's Day gift from Dr Frazier tonight.  I know that you remember me talking about her.  She is the one that delivered Sydney and that was with me continuously until we left here with you to go to CBH on that long day in 2005.  I think of that day often and still can't believe that you are gone from here and that I will not see you until we meet in heaven.  I just want you to know that you were an awsome son and that I am proud to tell people your story and that you are in heaven now in a place of constant rest.. In the song that I love so much Go Rest High on that Mountain son for your work on earth is done, you did so much in such a short time my son and people will never forget you and all the memories are so good.  Just a big hug and a big smile from you and that is what people remember.  I just hope that I can just be remember for the things that you and Daddy were remembered for.  Everyone that knew you and loved you and Daddy only have the fondest of memories of you both.  As Mother's Day comes I hope that you will visit me in some way so that I feel your presents.  Oh I was telling you about the gift that I recieved from Dr Frazier, it is a beautiful picture of three butterflies framed and signed by the artist that did it.  She knows that when I see a butterfly that I think of you and that is so special to me.  I will hang it somewhere that I can see it and think of you and of her whenever I see it.  I lov e you and miss you so and I will see you when I get there. April 27,2007  / Helen Vickers (mother of Shad )
I went to Prestonsburg yesterday and today I went and spent some time with Tiffany and the boys.  Aiden is growing up so fast.  He is talking so well you would be so proud of him.  He cut his hair to the scalp and Tiff had to take him to Gran Gran and get if cut really short.  I think that you would love it.  Robbie is just like you.   His is such a big boy.  I think that he is going to be as tall as you.  His feet and hands are so big and I remember Daddy always saying that you would be a big man because of your hands and feet and he was right.  Tiffany is doing better I think but she still misses you so much that it is really sad.  I wish that I could make her pain go away but I know that I can't do that because the only thing that would do that is for you to come back and be here with her.  I know that even if you could you would not do that because heaven must be the best place ever.  I also saw Cain and oh my he is soooooooo big.  He is for sure your dream dog.  I know that you will see him in heaven some day.  Savanna came home with us and Shad she is such a lady.   She is so grown up and is getting ready to go to 3rd grade.  It makes me so happy when I see how good she is doing in school.  She is reading well and doing so good in math.  You would be proud.  She is so pretty.  I think that she is a perfect mixture of you and Bonnie... I think she got all of your good traits.  She is pretty, smart, and is trying to have good manners.  I am so proud to say that you left me with 3 of the greatest children and I am so blessed to have a part of you with me all the time.  I love you and will see you when I get there. We had you a birthday party last night I think you were there.  We  sent you some balloon's all the kids wrote happy birthday on their balloon's.  Bai Bai was there too.   I love you son and know that you had a wonderful time in heaven.  Today is Pam Bauer's 1st Angel day.  Please tell her we love her and you all be with Phyllis and Kenneth, her mom and dad today and every day.  I love you and will see you when I get there.  Tomorrow Shawn is getting baptized be with all of us and you be there Love you Momma Close

Brother Jaggers passed away on April 6, 2007  / Helen Vickers (mother of Shad )
Brother Jaggers passed away last evening.  I know that was a wonderful reunion for you and Daddy and all the others that went before him and whose lives that he touched.  He was a saint.  He baptized me, Sarah,Shad and also married me and Garry.  I remember alot of things in my life about this man and I know that being at the right hand of God is what he long for and worked for his entire life.  I talked to him after Shad died on the phone because he had just had surgery or something.  I remember that he prayed with me and told me to hold on to my faith and that is what I have done as much as I can.  I will be praying for all of his children and for Dodie.  God be with you all until you meet again.  I love you Shad and miss you, but I know that you all are having another celebration of another soul coming home.  I can only Imagine I love you Momma Close

Easter is on its way and I can't imagine being in heaven and celebrating with the savior.  I miss you son but I know that you are healed and that you will never have pain.. Be with all of us through this Holiday and also tell Phyllis Caudill's daughter Pam that well said to have a happy angel day.  We will all pray for them. It is on April 14 and the will be the first of many to come.  You were a wonderful son and everyday I think of how much I miss you but also of how blessed you are to be at the right hand of God.  I love you and miss you Momma Close

April 4 2007  / Helen Vickers (mother of Shad )
Two years ago today we laid my Shad to rest .  His eternal soul left us on the 31st of March but you have to put them to rest to begin your grieving.  The grieving is hard and long but just something we have to do.  I loved my son so much but I know that he would not come back to this world if he could.  He is in a place of constant rest and that has to be the best thing ever.  Last night we had a bad storm and Savanna was scared but she said My Daddy will protect me and that makes me feel safe.  She said yesterday that her favorite memory righ now of her daddy is that he always played with her just like one big kid.  She also remembers that he picked her up and held her.  She loved that.  She said that she remembered the time when she would sock him in the belly and that was so much fun for her.  She will always remember him and will help her brothers to know that he loved them forever.  He was a wonderful son, brother, Daddy and Husband.  He was a altogether well rounded person and loved everyone that he met.  He was known as Sarah said once before for his hugs.  You could feel them deep in your soul and I they were there to stay.  That is a wonderful quality for anyone to have.  I just hope that when I am gone that People will have things to say about me just like they did him.  That is the way we all need to leave this world.  We just need to be remembered for all the good things that we did in our lives.  I know that good memories are the best memories that there are.  I love you Shad and want to thank you for teaching me to love and be loved and to love the Lord and to follow the Golden Rule.  I will see you when I get there  Momma Close

April 2, 2007  / Helen Vickers (mother of Shad )
Two years ago today we were getting ready for visitation at the funeral home.  Oh may something is wrong with that.  You don't go to the funeral home when it is your son.  There were over 400 people came to pay their respects to you and to us.  Later that evening we had a service for you  and there was a prayer and Tim Collins sang a Pink Floyd song that you and he loved.  Then Brother Steve gave everyone a chance to say something about you that they remembered.  I have never been such a proud parent as I was at that very moment.  You were remembered as nothing but the nicest, kindest and best hugger in the world.  No one had anything bad to say about you and that is great for a mother.  I can not tell you who was there but I can tell you that I was proud.  Me and your Dad and your Sister were all so proud.  I love you son and I will see you when I get there.
